That's What She Saved!
Super Doubles at Harris Teeter this week!!! That means that every coupon 1.98 and under is DOUBLED! There are so many things that are cheap or free during super double week.
I have a strategy for super double week...this may or may not work for you, but, this is what I have found easiest for me.
The first thing I do is look through all of my coupons, and pull out the ones that are over $1. This is because Harris Teeter always doubles coupons that are under a dollar. I want to make sure I get the most out of the higher dollar coupons.
I also search all the coupon websites that allow me to print coupons. I want to make sure I print any coupon that is over $1 for any items that are on special. I also want to look for any $1 coupons for items that we buy or need.
Then I divide my coupons into categories. Tonight, for instance, I did tolitries...shampoo, medicine, air freshners, etc... This way I can do my super double shopping and stay in one area of the store. This is my best chance of staying focused and organized, and using all of my coupons.
Tomorrow I will do freezer items, the next day grocery, meats, refrigerated, etc... I focus on one area of the store each day.
Harris Teeter limits their customers to 20 coupons a day that will double. This means if you have a $2 off coupon, put it at the bottom of the pile...it won't double anyway!
Today I spent $168, but after coupons and VIC savings only spent $60.
Couponing can be a lot of work, I know it takes time, attention, and patience. But, it really is worth it in the end to save over $100 for things my family really needs!!!
